The company from Wolfsburg announced their plans for the future, which is largely associated with the electric vehicles. In a statement from Volkswagen saying about the release of 30 models on batteries until 2025 to become the first in the world in the number of sold electric vehicles. Even for such giants as "Volkswagen", it's a very bold statement. To all the Germans presented the photos of experienced electric car Gen.E used for research purposes.

Volkswagen Gen.E, judging by the photo, is sized as a Volkswagen Golf, as well as something similar to the last appearance. Looking at the Gen.E understand that the test instance is too carefully crafted exterior of the car, and it makes me think about Golf next generation. There is a bold assumption about the next generation Volkswagen Golf as a fully electric model, though it is unlikely, that said representatives of the company about the importance of the internal combustion engine. Perhaps we are seeing the emergence of a whole new line of cars built on their own platforms, which will be produced in parallel with other models.

The Volkswagen Gen.E interesting appearance, visible to the careful study of the aerodynamics of a rear spoiler, vertical "rack wings" to optimize the flow of air (as some supercars) and slim rear view camera – all of this is done to improve the aerodynamics. And in one of the photos visible cutouts on the roof, leading to thoughts about lifting the doors "gull-wing", like the Tesla Model X.

Based on the serial follower Volkswagen Gen.E in the future will be laid MEB platform (Modulare Elektrifizierungsbaukasten), which provides for electric motors on both axles and battery integrated in the underbody. A car with such architecture can drive up to 400 km on a single charge.

And while Volkswagen Gen.E used for testing Autonomous mobile charger, which is able by itself to drive the electric car to find hatch the charging port and connect up the power connector. With such a robot any Parking lot can be converted into a charging station.

Announced in a press release statement ambitious, without a doubt, even though the "deselect" and the associated huge financial costs. On the other hand, we all know Volkswagen's desire to achieve their goals, the only question is the level of investment. The company talked about Volkswagen Group Research, on "global innovation networks company", which is "visionary, trend-scout technology." In addition, the release reported on the importance of internal combustion engines, which in the foreseeable future will continue to play a crucial role in the automotive industry.
