From 5 October, the Japanese market started selling the updated compact crossover Mitsubishi RVR 2018 model year received a completely new design of the front part in corporate an X-style and more modern media system Mitsubishi Connect increased to 7 inch display and interfaces Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is included in the optional package.

Updated Russian version of the ASX, exported to us from the same Japanese plant in Okazaki with similar changes in styling, started selling at the end of September, but for Japan expensive versions media system is more advanced.

As a dealer option for Japan also proposed modification of Active Gear, featuring a bright orange inserts in the front and rear bumpers, orange moldings and exterior mirror casings and a corresponding orange trim elements of the interior.

Among the technical changes – additional knee airbag as well as updated security system e-Assist, including a system of preventive braking, automatic switching from the dipped to the main beam, and a control system lanes. All modifications for the Japanese market only complement a CVT INVECS-III manual shift transmission. Exclusive to RVR is  gasoline engine 1.8 l 4B10 index with a power of 139 HP (engines of 1,6 l of production of PSA and 2.0-liter 4B11 motor in the homeland are not available). Drive a basic 2WD or all-wheel drive as an option.   

Prices in Japan – from 2 480 to 2 058 541 240 yen, which at current rate is between $18 225 to $22 500.
