In Russia there will be one crossover from Mazda

Began taking orders for the full-size crossover Mazda CX-9 second-generation

Recently the Russian branch of LLC "Mazda Motor Rus" concern Mazda Motor announced the start of sales of second-generation full-size crossover Mazda CX-9 in the domestic market. It is reported that the first cars in the Russian specifications (including the obligatory presence of the system ERA-GLONASS) have been collected in Japan, and the first customers will receive cars in early October.

A full-size crossover Mazda CX-9 debuted in North America (which is the main market model) in the fall of 2015 at the motor show in Los Angeles as a model for the 2016 model year, and production at the plant in Ujina (Hiroshima Prefecture) started in may of 2016. As with all current "Mazda", the car was created using technologies SkyActive. The dimensions of the Mazda CX-9 – 5075х1969х1747 mm wheelbase 2930 mm, ground clearance – enough for a city of 220 mm. the Interior is designed for 7 passengers. Curiously, the model was originally supposed to bring to the Russian market, but the wait was somewhat delayed...  

All version for Russia will be the only four wheel drive cars, although in the United States and Australia, there are front-wheel drive options. The engine is only "four" SkyActive-G with a volume of 2.5 l turbocharged engine, developing 250 HP and 420 nm, transmission – only 6-step "automatic".  basic Supreme evaluated in 2 890 000, and the equipment is quite decent – in addition to the "notorious" ERA-GLONASS, the list of equipment includes multi-zone climate control, six airbags, a media system with a 6-inch touch screen and navigation, rear view camera, leather interior, led lighting, projection screen, heated seats, light sensors and rain sensors and a Bose sound system premium.

The more expensive Executive version includes an additional electronic "assistants" – system of automatic braking, lane control, adaptive cruise control, monitoring blind spot – and evaluated in 3 000 010 roubles (for me it would be better to deduct this "top ten" of the price...)

To compete with such "bison" as the Toyota Highlander (from 3 635 000) and localized in Russia, Nissan Pathfinder (2 755 000), as well as other ambitious novice Honda Pilot (from 2 to 999 999 rubles – that, incidentally, is a sound approach from the point of view of taxes), and all these cars with atmospheric V6.
