Not always the road in time to deliver the project on time. There are cases when the last layer of asphalt is applied already literally on top of the snow. However, in Khabarovsk Krai was a real precedent: there finished the construction of the road, started 20 years ago.
In the Nanai district, Khabarovsk region commissioned part of the road "Lidoga-Vanino" with 148 155 kilometer. Until recently, this segment remained the only one without asphalt pavement. Now route Khabarovsk-Lidoga-Vanino is became fully paved.
The project implementation began in 1997. More than 100 kilometers of road, a total length of 319 kilometres, pass through the mountain ranges of the Sikhote-Alin mountains near the rivers Anyui and Gabelli. Because of the difficult terrain, the builders had to carry out blasting, spratley areas. All along the route was built 65 bridges. As a result, the length of the road was reduced by 28 kilometers.
"The importance of this highway cannot be overstated. It connects six municipal regions - Khabarovsk, Nanai, Amur, Komsomol, Vanino and Sovetskaya Gavan, is part of the Eurasian transport corridor "Moscow-Chita-Khabarovsk-Sakhalin". The road takes traffic flow in the direction of our ports, which are now actively developing. This opens up new opportunities for expanding cooperation with the Asia Pacific region. In addressing these questions helps us Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has urged to actively respond to the need for strengthening port infrastructure," — said the Governor of Khabarovsk territory Vyacheslav Shport.
