Porsche introduced the most powerful and expensive car, the 911 GT2 RS

The German company has unveiled at Goodwood its most powerful model – the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. We already wrote about this car, but without much detail. Now we can consider the creation of the Zuffenhausen closer. Following the tradition, the GT2 RS is more powerful and extreme incarnation of the 911 Turbo S, much easier including the shift from full to uncompromising rear-wheel drive.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be the most powerful and the fastest road car from the German brand. Previously, it was stated that the power of the 3.8-liter "boxer" was increased to 650 HP, but actually the engine is boosted to 700 (!) HP, at this point, however, remains at 750 nm. in Addition to water injection, to achieve such performance, the engineers have increased turbocompressor and intercoolers.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS is equipped with a lightweight 7 kg exhaust system made of titanium alloy. Saving weight wherever possible, the designers have achieved a mass of 1470 kg, which is approximately 130 kg less than the "donor" is a Turbo S. If you order the Weissach package, the GT2 RS is "lose weight" by 30 kg thanks to the extensive use of reinforced carbon fiber and components made of titanium alloy. Porsche 911 GT2 RS is equipped with special tires dimension 265/35 R20 front and 325/30 R21 at the rear.

The arrow on the speedometer of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS indicated 100 km/h, the vehicle required just 2.8 seconds. This means that rear-wheel drive GT2 RS faster all-wheel-drive Turbo S by 0.1 seconds. And if to consider that at the time, Porsche 911 Turbo S beat out sprint up to 90 km/h and the Porsche 918, and Ferrari LaFerrari, we get not just a fast car, and one of the fastest among stock cars.

Air conditioning and a multimedia system for Porsche 911 GT2 RS is available only as an option, because the car was built primarily for the pleasure of driving. The company has already announced the price for the 911 GT2 RS in Europe – 285 220 euros. If the report is 20 000 euros, this amount to buy at once three (!) The Porsche 911 GT3.

By the way, in the US the Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be cheaper – from 273 584 dollars. The Weissach package will cost 31,000 dollars. The good news is the lack of restriction on the circulation of the 911 GT2 RS 991.2 series, given that cars 997-series it was released only 500 copies. By the way, future owners can enjoy and exclusive timepieces from Porsche Design value of 9450 euros dedicated to this model.

On the official website of the Russian representation of Porsche 911 GT2 RS is already there, but the price for the domestic market is not yet specified.
