Presentation of an electric truck will be held later this month

Since the Foundation in 2003, Tesla Elon Musk (Elon Musk) adheres to a strategy. It was originally planned to release the first sports electric car (Tesla Roadster), then the proceeds from the money to develop expensive sedan (the Model S) and crossover (Model X), and then put the profit on the affordable electric car (Model 3). And although the "Tesla" is still deeply unprofitable, ambitions, Tony stark Elon musk continues to grow. Very soon there will be a presentation of an electric truck, and one of the prototypes has already been seen in California.

Captured on photo the truck looks a bit strange. However, there is little doubt that this is Tesla Semi (semi — "the tractor"). First, in April, Musk has published a teaser, which depicted a car with similar features. Secondly, the prototype was seen on a small airstrip, where I first photographed the Model S sedan P85D.

The only significant difference of this model from the April photo is the reduced body height. However, if you look closely to the picture, behind the trailer you can see a large fairing that is certainly installed on the roof of the tractor. Most likely, it will come in handy when using high-semitrailer: in this case, it will be possible to reduce air resistance.

Technical characteristics of the Semi Tesla are kept secret. According to Reuters, the reserve will amount to between 320 and 480 kilometers. Other details will be announced during the official presentation. Edition Teslarati is confident that it will be held on October 26 in California.
