Skoda unveiled the teaser of the concept car Vision E
The first Vision from Skoda released in 2011 and was with the prefix D, then it was the harbinger of a new Octavia. Next in 2014 showed the Vision C, which was recorded in the forerunner of the Czech flagship Superb. The tradition continued Vision S in 2016 – miraculously it was transformed into a seven-seater Kodiaq. Today, decided it was time, Skoda is a little bit lifted the veil on their plans and showed Vision E. Well, the hint failed – all understood that in the near future we will see Kodiaq Coupe, which we know for sure that it will go on sale in the Chinese market in 2019.
Information very little – Skoda teases its fans on the eve of the Shanghai motor show where, most likely, cards will be revealed and, given the original focus of new products in China. But even one teaser side view shows that the rear part of the roof will be sloping rather dashing, and optics is likely to be like a mixture of lights from Kodiaq and Superb. Another speculation concerns the propulsion concept is a high probability that it will be electric, given the trends in the automotive industry. But the upcoming production model Coupe Kodiaq will be mandatory to have a version with a hybrid power plant. In addition, they say that Vision E is a preliminary preparation of the Czech brand to release all-electric production car.
But from the short video that is available, you can make one conclusion – the car should be more than interesting. For Skoda it should be another stepping-stone to the premium segment.
However, this is all speculation. You must wait for the auto show in Shanghai, which will start in less than a month.
