Next Ford Focus was spotted on the beach of Portugal

One of the most anticipated novelties of the Geneva motor show in 2018, until recently, was supposed to be a Ford Focus. This model is consistently in the TOP 10 of the European market, though inferior to the sales leader of the segment in the face of the Volkswagen Golf. But recently the manufacturer has decided to postpone the presentation of the fourth generation and a half months, until mid-April. And now, apparently, in full swing protfolio creation of a new "Focus" for the press release: in one of the coastal areas of Portugal, the novelty was spotted during a photo shoot.

A new picture confirms earlier leaks. The appearance of the Ford Focus will undergo significant changes. It is easy to notice more relief sides and the lack of the small rear Windows, which was on all three previous generations. It is difficult to avoid associations with cars and some other brands. For example, the rear lights are reminiscent of the Alfa Romeo hatchback, and the front optics due to the characteristic shape of the led strip, reminiscent of a Volvo.

It is assumed that the picture has got pyatidverka in "sportivnoy" version of the ST Line. It will have a larger spoiler on the trunk lid and wheel disks of the increased diameter. Next to it was photographed another "Trick", but he was covered by a cloth. Most likely, this is the Vignale version of a swing for the initial premium. This is indirectly evidenced by a chrome band on the verge (the other "fords" in the performance of the Vignale is also a lot of sparkly). It is also expected the appearance of modifications Active, which will emulate the crossovers.

At the moment there is no precise information about the technical characteristics of the car. Most likely, Ford will do without revolutionary changes. For the European version of the Focus will continue to be offered with a petrol turbo engine capacity of 1 and 1.5 liters.

In Europe the next generation Ford Focus will be available in the fall. The home of the brand sales will begin only in 2019 because of the shift Assembly to China. The Russians also probably have to wait a bit, since the localization (and we sell the "Magic" of the Russian Assembly) takes time.
