Ten years ago, fully digital dashboard, could boast only premium cars like Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover, but by the current moment it can be seen on the mass models. Further in this progress, the Volkswagen group, which offers an advanced instrument cluster for many vehicles, built on the platform MQB. It all started with the Audi TT, and recently Volkswagen Golf (plus the new Polo), Audi A3 and Seat Leon also flaunt a "tidy" without arrows. Finally this option is reached and Skoda Octavia.
Apparently, "Octavia" will apply the same system that is proposed for the new crossover Skoda Karoq. This means that the driver can customize the interface by itself, but on the sides of the display regardless of the selected configuration will be displayed dial the engine temperature and remaining fuel. But the image of the speedometer and tachometer can be removed. It is noteworthy that they used the so-called radial digitization: the same applies to analog devices normal "Skoda".
On the new dashboard became known thanks to the Configurator on the Czech website of the company. According to him, the new system is offered as an option, and only for higher trim levels Style, Laurin & Klement, RS and Scout. Depending on the selected version, the price varies from 8 900 to 10 900 CZK (approximately 25-30 thousand rubles).
Later this high-tech option will become available for buyers of Skoda Octavia in Russia. The exact release date and price not yet known.
