The Spanish brand has acquired a seven-seater crossover

By and large, the Volkswagen group continues to develop the brand of Seat as a residual. Yes, today "Seaty" are not full copies of cars from other brands (to recall was produced from 2008 to 2013 Seat Exeo sedan, which is different from the already removed by the time the Audi A4 only lights and bumpers), but many models appear under the brand Seat after Volkswagen and Skoda have already released their own equivalent. Crossovers that Seat started to produce much later than the sister company. For example, the new seven-seat model Seat Tarraco is close to Kodiaq Skoda and Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace, which is not the first year are available in the market.

It's no accident we mentioned the fact that until recently "Seaty" make a blueprint. And it just seems that those days are gone: Seat Tarraco is virtually indistinguishable from Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace not only technically (this is not surprising), but also visually. Designers hardly changed profile: the same door, the same wings and arches. When viewed in profile is slightly different only the shape of the rear side Windows.

But the "face" and feed and "Tarraco" (the car is named after the city of Tarragona in Catalonia) is not copied. To some extent this crossover even has an important change of the brand: it debuted a new hexagonal front grille.

Given the fact that the development of Seat Tarraco was allocated a very modest budget (as indicated by fully drawn with the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace sidewall), we can assume that the crossover will be relatively inexpensive. As it is not so: for the new items will not be considered frankly "naked" models. Even the initial version will receive full led lighting, entertainment system with eight-inch touch screen, climate control and many other systems that usually are not the cheap version.

From the perspective of the hardware there were no surprises. You can choose gasoline engine capacity of 1.5 (150 HP) and two-liter (190 horsepower). The alternative they offered the diesel engine 2.0 TDI, available in two versions: with a return of 150 and 190 HP. Version with front-wheel drive will be equipped with "mechanics", with the seven-speed robotized transmission DSG.

European sales of the Seat Tarraco will begin at the end of this year.
