A prototype of the Audi Q8 has been seen in Moscow

The German crossover is almost gone disguise

In the near future, Audi plans to release a flagship crossover Q8. Prototypes of the new model has been spotted during testing on the streets of Europe, and now one of the pre-production copies were in Moscow (though it was still set for European rooms).

It is noteworthy that this time the body almost was not disguised. Now, no one had any doubt that the Audi Q8 will be virtually no different from the homonymous concept presented at the beginning of 2017. The novelty, though made in a recognizable style of Ingolstadt company, but will be much more daring than Audi Q7.

Also in the lens of the paparazzi car hit the interior of the older model of off-road line of Audi. Draws attention to the abundance of glossy surfaces and stretching along the entire front panels vents ventilation: on these aspects Q8 will remind, the new flagship A8 sedan.

From a technical point of view, the Audi Q8 will be a close relative of the Q7. The car will be built on the same platform MLB Evo and probably will get the same powertrains, including 4-liter V8 with a triple-turbo (this is installed on the top version of SQ7). In the long term should appear in the hybrid version with support for external charging: this car is being developed jointly with Porsche.

Audi Q8 will be the flagship crossover of the brand, shifting from this position Q7. The production car's debut scheduled for 2018. Q8 key competitors will be the BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
