The fastest car on the planet can be bought in Russia

There are many race tracks. Some of them are famous for the complexity of their turns, the other long straights. Even professional racers can't select the best track, but the most famous, without doubt, is the nürburgring. So the title of king of this route is expensive: many manufacturers are desperately fighting for the first place. We now know the name of the new king of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

In previous times record of the Nurburgring for production cars was broken recently: at the beginning of the year, the special version of the Lamborghini Huracan coupe Performante drove a full circle for 6:of 52.01. And it was a phenomenal result, because left behind and the flagship of the Italians, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce (6:59,73), and hypercar Porsche 918 Spyder (6:57,00), which at the time was considered the fastest car on the planet.

But the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and not a stone was left from the previous records: a route length of 20.6 kilometers took only 6:47.3 in. Even the developers admitted that did not expect such an impressive result. The pilot brought the Porsche team win was Lars Kern (Kern Lars).

What kind of monster is this, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS? Visually, it is not so much different from a regular 911. Technical stuffing also is a lot like a more "civil" version: it has a 3.8-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine with twin turbo. That's just the engineers managed to increase its returns up to 700 horsepower, so it's the most powerful car in the history of the 911 family.

Other specifications include double clutch "robot" PDK and all-wheel drive system. Porsche 911 GT2 RS weighs 1 470 kg and can accelerate to 340 km/h.
