The car received a new look and more modern "automatic"
Mitsubishi L200 is one of the most popular pickups in Russia. For the first nine months, the Russians bought 2186 of these machines: the value is very modest, although by the standards of SUVs in comparison with low-demanded in our country, the segment of the pickups are quite solid. Now in Thailand presented an updated version, which received both visual and technical changes.
At home (i.e. in Thailand, launches the L200 because it was there) this machine bears the name of Triton, so it's no surprise this name in place of license plates. By the standards of the class upgrade was surprisingly comprehensive. The front of the truck and not to know because narrow strips of headlights, raised hood line and the X-shaped pattern bumper L200 can be mistaken for a brand new model.
The Mitsubishi designers are not lazy and copied even the shape of the stern, the rear lights and wheel arches, which have become more angular. Not without innovations in the interior: the center console looks more holistically, and with the dashboard disappeared anachronistic of displasic to display the modes of all-wheel drive powertrain.
Changes on the technical side not so much. The Japanese company has finally started to establish a six-step "automatic" instead of the outdated five-speed. In addition, engineers increased the diameter of the brake discs and installed new shock absorbers.
The engines remain the same. Most likely, Russia will continue to supply pickups only with a 2.4-liter diesel engines, available in versions with a capacity of 154 and 181 HP
The price tag is likely to also be updated, but first it would be announced later.
