The French presented in Network styling updated Peugeot 308

In Europe an updated version of the 308 will be available with June year hatchback, estate (SW) and sports modified GTi. Three-cylinder petrol engine PureTech 130 with a volume of 1.2 l was significantly upgraded, which helped to reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency. To operate this unit will be paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox.

Updated Peugeot 308 is the first in a line of cars of the PSA Group, which will be powered by a new 4-cylinder 1.5-liter "diesel engine" Power: 130. The engine features a new combustion chamber shape which the firm has patented and successfully tried and tested in the prototypes on the 24-hour race in Le Mans. In addition, at this engine uses selective catalytic Converter (SCR), located very close to the exhaust manifold for rapid warm-up.

Next in the line of engines is a loaded 2.0-litre BlueHDi 180 for Peugeot 308 GT. This engine will work with the new 8-speed automatic transmission EAT8 from Aisin.
