Since the advent of the Range Rover Sport second generation it's been four years — just in time for a small update. British company not only made a cosmetic facelift, but also slightly modernized technical stuffing and even introduced a new version.


Visually distinguish rejuvenated Range Rover Sport is easiest on the bumpers and a slightly modified front grille. Lighting has maintained its shape, but got new content. For a premium sport utility vehicle will be available from four headlights, and all of them will be led.


In the basic version, the front headlights will include "passive" LEDs. Two options involve the use of 26 or 71 point source, of which electronics to use the amount that will be required depending on the vehicle. The fancy headlights will be additionally equipped with a laser beam, which would hit 500 meters ahead.


Now the Range Rover Sport appeared base petrol version of the P300 Si4 equipped with 300-horsepower turbo two-litre. Subjected to changes and top version SVR: its 5-liter compressor V8 now develops 575 horsepower and 700 N·m (was 550 HP and 680 N·m), which reduced the acceleration time to 100 km/h from 4.7 to 4.5 seconds.


Perhaps the most important innovation was the version of the P400e. This is the first ever Land Rover hybrid with external charging. It uses the same 300-strong "turboservice", as in the baseline P300 Si4, but in this case it is supplemented by a 116-horsepower electric motor. Thanks to the battery capacity of 13.1 kWh car can travel up to 51 kilometers in all-electric mode and top speed in this case is 137 km/h.
