BMW has officially unveiled the updated electric i3

The Bavarian company has unveiled the updated BMW i3 2018. Together with the standard option has shown a sportier version of the hatchback – i3s. Both versions of the electric vehicle equipped with batteries of 94 And∙h (33 kW). Capacity of this battery will be enough to run at 290 km. in Addition, the updated electric car can be equipped with two-cylinder petrol engine to recharge the batteries on the road, then mileage will increase by 150 km.

The BMW i3, an electric motor producing 170 HP and torque of 250 nm. the Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a single-stage automatic gearbox that allows acceleration to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. At a sports modification i3s, an electric motor with a capacity of 184 HP and torque of 270 nm.

Besides a more powerful engine for the i3s has developed a sports suspension and reduced the car's height by 10 mm compared to the standard version extended by 40 mm gauge. As a consequence, installed arch extensions and painted them in glossy black color. For BMW i3s are available 20-inch wheels with unique design.

The i3's exterior has changed slightly – along with the front bumper changed the shape of the DRL and fog light. The basic equipment of the BMW i3 and BMW i3s includes new led lights & indicators direction indicators.

In the electric hatchback has installed an updated iDrive system and equipped all models of the advanced navigation system Professional with 10.25-inch touch screen. In the list of options appeared Apple CarPlay.

Autumn in Frankfurt, BMW will officially unveil both vehicles. The premium hatchback is on sale in Russia at a price of 4 360 000 rubles. But when our market will be an updated BMW i3 is still unknown.
