Last month, Mercedes-Benz presented the first updated models of C-Class sedan and wagon. Now it came to "fashion" versions: facelift made it to the coupe and convertible.

The two-door "of Caski" received the same package of metamorphoses. The car got new bumpers, led lights are now included in the basic equipment. But part of the world will still be provided options: the manufacturer will offer to pay for matrix lights.

Changes in the cabin also are more practical than visual. Now in the base version will have a Central screen diagonal of 10.25 inches (early 7 inch). Supported management with new touchpad equipped with tactile feedback, touch panel, new steering wheel and voice commands.

Some changes can be observed on the part of the dashboard. By default, it will continue to include analog devices, but now can be ordered instead of a large screen diagonal of 12.3 inches.

Enough changes and in terms of technical stuffing. For example, now the label C 200 will no longer hide two-liter turbo engine instead it uses a new engine M264 volume one and a half liters. In contrast to the basic BMW 3 Series, it is still four cylinders, not three. Power remained the same (184 horsepower), but the maximum torque decreased from 300 to 280 N·m.

Something lost, something we find that despite the reduction of volume and thrust, buyers updated C 200 something even win. Now a Mercedes is a "mild hybrid": under its hood will have a system EQ Boost, which includes a starter-generator with a belt drive connected to the network with a voltage of 48 V. the output of the electric motor is estimated at 14 horsepower and 160 nm. EQ Boost will help during acceleration and the engine is started during the system "start/stop".

Not without modifications and in diesel version of the Mercedes-Benz C 220 d. In place of the old motor OM 651 with a volume of 2.1 liters came a new two-litre OM 654. Power jumped from 170 to 194 HP, the torque has not changed — 400 N·m.

Also small changes are affected, and "hot" modification of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4Matic. Its three-liter "six" 367 boosted with up to 390 horsepower while maintaining the same point of the previous (520 N·m). However, this increase had no effect on the acceleration dynamics: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h still occupies a 4.7 or 4.8 seconds, depending on body type (coupe or convertible).

The release of the updated two-door "of Casec" the market is planned for the summer.
