The new Volkswagen Touareg will cost more than 3 million rubles

The volume is less, the price is higher

Less than a month ago was presented the new Volkswagen Touareg. In a recent international innovations long to get to Russia, but not in this case: the German company already announced the price of a premium crossover.

Also customers will be able to choose the more expensive performance Status and R-Line, the value of which is not yet announced.

In addition to the basic two-liter turbo engine the Russians will offer a 3.0 TSI V6 (340 horsepower) and a diesel V6 3.0 TDI (249 horsepower). The cost of Volkswagen Touareg with such power units are not specified.

In comparison with the predecessor body of the new Volkswagen Touareg was on 77 long (4 878 mm), 44mm wider (1 984 mm) and 7 mm below (1 702 mm). Now the car is at 48% is made of aluminium, which reduced weight to 106 kg even with the slightly increased size. The car moved on the platform MLB Evo, already used in other large SUV group.

Deliveries of Volkswagen Touareg third generation has to start in the summer.
