The new Volkswagen Polo is faceted

The Germans unveiled the Polo sixth generation for the European market

Today was officially presented the Volkswagen Polo 2018 – the sixth generation of one of the most popular hatchbacks in the world. For all time of existence of the model has sold more than 14 million various modifications Polo. The new generation Polo appeared to be completely new design, with noticeable increased interior fine design of all interior parts and with dimensions exceeding those of the predecessor.

New Volkswagen Polo 2018 built on the platform MQB A0, so the designers managed to create a more dynamic silhouette of the car. Exterior Volkswagen Polo 2018 worked out to the smallest detail and shows us a completely new appearance of the car of this segment. Tapered headlights with led daytime running lights and slightly elongated hood create a dynamic style of the car regardless of modifications. For a more dynamic silhouette, the designers lengthened the roofline and made the rear pillar more slender than its predecessor. 

Inconspicuous at first sight and interesting on close examination, the rear lights stand out geometric pattern, as if the designer was at hand only a ruler and no templates.

The interior of the new Volkswagen Polo is without a doubt can be called revolutionary. A completely new approach in the design of the predominance of straight lines, "broken" the deflectors, and a fully digital dashboard that visually combined with a touchscreen media system. Interesting is the Central console mounted almost vertically to "tidy".

Itself dashboard, depending on car modifications or requests of the client can be two-, and even tri-color. But aside from striking the dashboard and look at the door trim and then through the cabin, it seems that fuse designers only lasted for "a torpedo" - all the boring and depressing (but on the other hand, habitually and in their places). 

For the European market Volkswagen Polo Mk VI will be a large list of engines, including one running on natural gas. All engines meet the Euro 6 standards, have a system of disabling two of the cylinders of AST (except for the 2.0-liter), equipped with start-stop function and regenerative braking. The new Volkswagen Polo, as before, will be available in three standard versions – Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. But, besides these, the engineers have prepared a special version Beats with a great sound system and, of course, a hot version of the Polo GTI. In the list of options includes still packs R – Line, Black and Style.

Each package is a set of small, mostly visual improvements. For example, the package R-Line includes 16-inch alloy wheels "Sebring", sports front bumper, rear R-Line –bar diffuser with chrome trim and a roof spoiler. In addition, the perimeter of the car to stretch the black bars that visually lower the car. Approximately the same set of "effects" will be in the cabin.

As for equipment of the new Volkswagen Polo, even the basic version Trendline on the new Polo led DRL, speed limiter monitoring system "prefrontal" space (Front Assist) and the emergency brake in the city (City Emergency Braking) and monitoring of the presence of pedestrians (Pedestrian Monitoring). Each modification adds to the equipment of the vehicle media system, climate control (Climatic), larger diameter wheels, multi-function steering wheel in leather finish (Highline) and many more.

Of special note is the special version Beats, named after the world famous manufacturer of headphones (from Dr. Dre). This type of Polo in 2018 equipped with a 300-watt audio system from the iconic American brand. 

In addition, the car has 16-inch wheels, exterior mirrors in black, with stickers on the surface of the body and the logos "Beats" on the center pillar and rocker panels. 

The interior sports a special version of the dashboard, painted in Velvet Red, and sport seats with embossed logos in the same audiofire.

The top version in the model range is the Volkswagen Polo GTI. The model 2018 will be powered by a new 2.0-liter TSI with 200 horsepower Car cannot be confused with other versions – sport bumper with spoiler, a huge 17-inch wheels (optional – 18-inch), full-led headlamps, sporty rear spoiler, painted gloss black, diffuser in the bumper, twin exhaust pipes and GTI badges on radiator grille and rear. 

The interior of the "hot hatch" includes sport seats with the legendary plaid Scottish pattern Clarck, multifunction steering wheel with red stitching and the sports arm of the MCP.

For personalization of the new generation Volkswagen Polo has prepared 14 exterior colors, 12 different wheel designs (14 - and 18-inch), some of which are painted in a contrasting colour, 13 the execution of the instrument panel, two versions of the interior trim in General, and 11 variations of the seat upholstery.

In addition, the new Polo can meet the demands of virtually all customers, as the list of its equipment extended as much as possible. For example, you can order a system of "Air Care Climatronic" with air quality sensor, one of the largest in the class panoramic roof or Sport Select chassis with active shock absorbers. It turns out that Polo in 2018, you can collect, as a designer, exclusively to fit your preferences.

Taking orders for the new generation Volkswagen Polo will start this fall, with a starting price of 12 975 euros. Sad that the Russian market this model will not see, because we have "your" Volkswagen Polo Sedan, the new generation who will come in late 2017 or early 2018.
