New Mercedes-Benz CLS was much more expensive than its predecessor

A fancy car will cost a minimum of 4 940 000 rubles

New, third generation "four-door coupe" Mercedes-Benz CLS was submitted recently in November. Now the Russian office of the company announced pricing and started taking orders.

The car was not cheap. Prices for the sedan (but it's still a sedan, despite the assurances of the manufacturer) starting from 4 940 000 rubles. How much is the diesel version of the CLS 350d 4MATIC (286 HP and 600 N·m) in Elegance. A more powerful model 400d CLS 4MATIC (340 HP and 700 N·m), also using "heavy fuel" is already 5 600 000 rubles. About the same cost is the most affordable petrol cityradio CLS 450 4MATIC (370 HP and 500 N·m) 5 650 000 rubles.

It is noteworthy that the announced modification will be six-cylinder and all-wheel drive. There are no alternatives and nine-storyed "machine". In addition to the type of motor while it is possible to choose only one of two trim levels: base, Elegance or Sport.

The minimum equipment of the Mercedes-Benz CLS envisages the presence of a leather interior with heated and ventilated front seats, navigation system, Burmester audiocomics, virtual instrument cluster and rear view camera. Sport version is the easiest to be identified by AMG body kit and the matrix led headlights.

Customers will be able to get the first Mercedes-Benz CLS by the end of spring. Later Russia will get to new charged version of the Mercedes-CLS 53 AMG 4MATIC+. It in addition to a three-liter row "six" M256, which is the usual augmented turbocharger electric supercharger, used a 22-horsepower electric motor. The impact engine is estimated at 435 horsepower and 520 N·m. This tandem accelerates the sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Maximum speed limited to 250 km/h and if you order the optional Driver's package AMG 4MATIC CLS 53+ able to accelerate and up to 270 km/h.
