The new BMW X3 will start this fall

The Bavarian company introduced the third generation of mid-size crossovers

The official premiere of the new BMW X3 is the third generation (the index G01) took place at a special presentation in Spartanburg (SC, USA), where is the BMW factory. The trunk is the same volume as the F25, from 550 to 1600 liters, but the salon has become noticeably more spacious.

Despite the growth in size, thanks to the platform CLAR was able to lower curb weight (about 55 kg depending on modification). the drag Coefficient Cx a record in the class – about 0.29.  

Versions with petrol engines 2.0 l will be rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, while the presented modifications sDrive/xDrive 20i, with a capacity of 184 HP (ΜM – 190 N∙m, with spring 2018), xDrive 30i (265 HP and 350 N∙m, with a December 2017) and the top version of the X3 M40i (R6 with 3.0 liter, 360 HP, 500 nm) and modular 2.0-litre turbodiesels in options 190 HP and 400 N∙m (xDrive 20d) or 265 HP, 620 nm (xDrive 20d).

All motors line of BMW EfficientDynamics two in-line turbocharged agregation only with 8-step "automatic" ZF.

Among the innovations of the new X3 is the new generation iDrive system with gesture controls, instrument cluster with LCD screen, "paratopia" Co-Pilot with active cruise control system Driving Assistant Plus (control strip and rebuild), the miracle key BMW Key Display with touch screen, adaptive dampers of the new generation and the system Variable Sport Steering with a variable gear ratio.

Sales will start in autumn 2017, in Russia, the new X3 will appear at the end of November 2017 three options to choose from – xLine, Luxury Line and M Sport (standard for "lighters" M40i), the term does not exclude the emergence of hybrid versions or even electric iX3.
