In Frankfurt debut conceptual electric Mini
Show-stopper at the Mini stand in Frankfurt-on-main will perform conceptual electric car Mini Electric is a forerunner of a future production version, the production of which in the British Oxford will begin in 2019.
It is useful to recall that even before the current boom in electric mobility in the range the Mini was already quite a small-scale Mini E electric car with electric motor capacity of 204 HP, assembled in 2008 in the amount of about 600 units, and the reserve by those standards, was very decent – more than 200 km.
In fact, with the exception of the number of conceptual features (e.g. asymmetric flaps wheel covers printed on a 3D printer, and door handles are recessed into the door panels), stylish front headlight units with C-shaped elements and the rear lights "under the British flag", the car looks quite preserie.
However, photos of the interior are not yet available – either in the salon designers has come off "in full", or Vice versa – the interior of the new serial. Everything else is just assumptions, but if you focus on close in weight and dimensional parameters of the BMW i3, we can assume a capacity of 170 HP, the battery capacity of about 40 kWh and a power reserve of more than 250 km.
