On a motor show in Tokyo on new Toyota Crown

The model will start selling in Japan from June 2018

Today, Toyota Motor Corporation began the announcement of their new products for the start on 25 October Tokyo motor show and the first model in the list, which is symbolic, was the Toyota Crown sedan new, already the fifteenth generation.

Since the debut of the first generation in 1955, these cars have become, without exaggeration, a true legend in terms of build quality, exclusivity and uncompromising commitment to creating the best Japanese car. In Tokyo model will appear as a show-car exhibition copy with the console Concept, although significant differences from the production car, debuting in Japan in the early summer of 2018 will not.

The new generation created on the basis of the latest Toyota modular platform called Toyota New Global Architecture, a unique feature of which is versatility. Modularity allows the Japanese to design as the front-and rear - wheel drive models from the same components. As example, a new generation hybrid Prius, Camry front-wheel drive and, in fact, a new, 15-second account of the Crown, which, incidentally, passed a full testing cycle on the "Nordschleife Nurburgring", a Testament to the engineering stages of the project.

Promised and numerous driver assistance systems, which allows not to think on an intuitive level, how to pass a certain rotation (so-called principle of Fan to Drive, Toyota proclaimed some time ago), and the new Crown will be applied for new systems, DCM (Data Communication Modules), including the exchange of information between vehicles within the urban infrastructure of ITS Connect.
