Soon electric vans will appear at Hamburg
A year ago, the Volkswagen AG has announced create a mobile startup MOIA. It was planned that it will become a competitor to the increasingly popular services Uber and Lyft. Now the company has introduced the concept of the first electric van.
It is assumed that the MOIA will not work only and not so much as the aggregator of taxi
and as a company in the field of joint visits. Customers can put orders through a branded app, and requests will be processed in such a way as to pick up passengers with similar routes. In the end it should be a symbiosis of taxi and public transport.
The concept is built on the basis of the Volkswagen T6 Multivan. The van comes with sliding door and six individual passenger seats. In the cabin has USB outlets, lamps for reading and the wireless access point.
The van is in motion by electricity. The power of the motor and the battery capacity not disclosed, but it is known that the power reserve will be about 300 kilometers. For charging 0
to 80% will take 30 minutes. As long as it is only the concept, the appearance and characteristics of the vehicle are still subject to change.
In the future, the German company plans to make transport more than in a hundred cities around the world. The first to use the services of MOIA will the people of Hamburg: Park electric minibuses in the city will consist of 200 cars, and later he will grow to thousands.
