Mercedes-Benz will bring to California a luxurious surprise

Gordon Wagener, chief designer of the German company, announced via Instagram about the surprise at the Competition of elegance of Pebble Beach Concours d'elegance. We are talking about the concept of the Mercedes-Maybach 6 in the back of a convertible. We will remind, the concept coupe Mercedes-Maybach 6 (pictured) was shown last year. In the publication Autocar suggest that convertible from the German brand will be equipped with a soft folding top.

Most likely, the company Mercedes-Benz is engaged in a luxury convertible as opposed to Rolls-Royce Dawn. As in the case of coupe, cabriolet concept, Mercedes-Maybach 6 Convertible will be equipped with electric drive with a total capacity of 750 HP as for mileage on a single charge when using rechargeable batteries of 80 kWh, according to the manufacturer, it can be up to 500 km.

Mercedes-Benz has set out its plans for electrification. By 2022, the German company will release at least 10 EVS series EQ Power EQ Power+. The name of the plus will be treated to models of the Mercedes-AMG. It is expected that the first models marked with EQ will be the crossovers of the size of the GLC and compact hatchbacks EQ-A.

Together with luxury convertible, Mercedes-Maybach 6 in 2017 at the Competition of elegance will be presented the successor of the BMW Z4. And just like Mercedes, the Bavarians will present is the production model concept car.

It is unknown when the first production copies of the luxury convertible Mercedes-Maybach 6.
