A year ago there was presented the concept Mercedes-Benz Generation EQ representing the electric crossover. Now, the German brand showed us what could be his younger brother hatchback EQA.
The front part is made in the spirit of the concept Mercedes-Benz A Sedan who six months ago was exhibited at the motor show in Shanghai. Here we have used the headlights and grille the same shape. It is noteworthy that the "face" of the car were interactive: the figure built-in led lights and wires will vary depending on the selected mode of the power unit.
Length Mercedes-Benz EQA on just a few millimeters inferior to the serial A-Class: 4285 vs 4292 mm. At the same time, the width is several inches longer — 1810 mm. the Concept presented in the 3-door version, which is absent in the current "of a Cup".
Mercedes-Benz EQA installed two electric motors – one on each axle. Their total capacity is 200 kW (272 HP). Thanks to impressive returns and a full drive electrojets accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just five seconds.
The traction battery is integrated into the vehicle floor. The manufacturer suggests to equip EQA multiple version of the battery, the eldest of which will have a capacity greater than 60 kW∙h. Such a modification can drive about 400 kilometers between charges. To release the battery will be the company Accumotive, which is a subsidiary of Daimler AG in turn owns the brand Mercedes-Benz.
While Mercedes-Benz EQA is just another concept, however, the German manufacturer intends to begin production in a similar style electric hatchback in the next few years. In 2019 will be available crossover EQ Generation, and after him will fall on the conveyor and the serial analogue of the EQA. By 2022, Mercedes-Benz plans to produce more than ten fully electric cars.
