The first model of the new sub-brand Mercedes-Maybach with four-wheel drive transmission became the G-Class in the exclusive version of the G 650 Landaulet, which will premiere at the Geneva motor show in March 2017. In fact, the body type "landole", that is convertible with hinged rear part of the roof for the Maybach brand is not new – there were similar historical patterns 30 years, and the stories in the new Maybach Landaulet was the piece on the basis of converted 62S sedan with 240-m body, presented in 2007, but four-wheel drive, and with the portal axles...

Yes, based on Mercedes-G650 Maybach Landaulet concept has been taken, has been worn on a super-truck, Mercedes-AMG G63 6x6 and a "square" Mercedes-Benz G500 4x42 when the basic design of the G-Class (in this case it is the top model of the Mercedes-AMG G65) complete portal axles, revised suspension with double shock absorbers and new springs and "toothy" rubber 325/55 R22, which, coupled with the prodigious ground clearance 450 mm makes the vehicle genuine off-road conqueror.

Naturally, the main attention when developing the G650 Landaulet was paid to the finish and salon equipment. Places, by the way, only four, and thanks to the extended wheelbase 3428 mm (plus 578 mm to the G500 4x42) for each of the VIP-passengers given a truly Royal space. Individual seats, trimmed with calf leather specially manufactured, equipped with every imaginable powered, built-in massagers, ventilation and adjustable Ottomans, and from the front seats the rear passengers in the best traditions separates a glass wall with adjustable opacity.

For ease of entry and exit has steps-ladders with electric and soft roof is operated with the remote on the console in front of the rear seats. It is interesting that the Cup holders equipped and heating and cooling system. Each rear passenger is based on individual screen tablet with a diagonal of 10 inches.

The basic V12 engine with 6.0 liter twin-turbo that develops 630 HP and 1000 nm, as well as 7-speed automatic 7G-Tronic transmission and all-wheel drive with inter-axle differentials, the designers left unchanged. Announced that the General circulation of the Mercedes-Maybach Landaulet G650 will be only 99 copies, and production at the Austrian factory Magna-Steyr will close by the fall of 2017. In Russia the model will appear exactly, but prices are not yet been announced.
