Pyatidverka Ford Ka+ is the smallest and most affordable model of the company in Europe. Now the manufacturer has updated it and added new version.
Changes in appearance were restrained. Little Ford Ka+ has received new bumpers, slightly changed design of the front grille. Metamorphosis in the cabin can also be described as restrained. In the interior appeared the engine start button and a fresh multimedia system Sync 3 with 6.5-inch screen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The motors do not seem to have changed: as before, the Ford Ka+ will be offered with 1.2-litre petrol engine is available in versions with a capacity of 70 and 85 horsepower. However, it's still a new unit: the engineers created it based on a-liter "EcoBoost" volume, which is used on the Focus and Fiesta ST. One local innovation is the system of variable valve timing on the inlet and outlet. This helped to reduce fuel consumption by 4% and slightly increase the torque.
European buyers of the Ford Ka+ will be able to choose a diesel motor the 1.5 TDCi. Its impact is estimated at 95 horsepower and 215 N·m.
However, one of the most important news is the introduction of a new version of the Ka+ is Active. It has increased by 23 mm ground clearance, extended wheel track and a reinforced front stabilizer bar. Also, the engineers reconfigure the shock absorbers to make the ride on bad roads smoother.
A new version of the Ford Ka+ will be available in Europe in the coming months. Base price in Germany has not changed and remains at €9 990.
