Stefano Domenicali has hinted at the likely revival Miura

Thanks to the Lamborghini Miura mid-engined supercar to became a standard. A legendary car in its time was the reason for the unrest of the great Enzo Ferrari. Lamborghini Miura was one of the most advanced cars of its time. Recently, the head of Lamborghini Stefano Domenicali said in an interview that there is a possibility of the revival of the legend by 2022.

To be precise, the Congress of Automotive News Europe Congress 2017 Domenicali, the former head of the Scuderia Ferrari said he is open to cooperation on the project of the Miura of the 21st century. At the beginning of the year, the representatives of Lamborghini said that the future firm will be forced to create a modular platform for future models. This platform would create the Lamborghini entry-level, but it is provided that if the Urus will be sold "like hot cakes".

In addition, the Congress announced that in the period 2025-2030 most likely Lamborghini will appear seater coupe. By the way, in 2008, "Lambo" has presented a concept called the Estoque. The Italians are trying by all means to reform the brand. Domenicali on this occasion said, "we used to be very polarized. We or loved, or hated. Now we are trying to be more cool, young, but always different."

For the sake of truth it should be clarified that people in Congress cared in the first place not distant future and the near future, which should start the selling of the future bestseller of the Italian brand, Lamborghini Urus. Crossover from supercar manufacturer to become a serious tool for the company. Price Urus should be less than 200 000 euros, and is going to produce up to 7000 (!) copies a year. Apparently, the story with a saving for the Porsche Cayenne SUV led the Italians on the extension of the model range, while the Urus developed on the same new modular platform MLB Evo, which are the Audi Q7 new generation, the Bentley Bentayga, the second "Panamera"  and future Porsche Cayenne Mk III 2018.

We just have to be patient and wait for the Lamborghini Urus. How well will sell this SUV, will directly affect the expansion of the range Lamborghini. What is the probability of the emergence of the new Miura – is not yet clear, one thing is clear – it is lower than in quadruple Estoque.
