Crossover Lamborghini Urus will present on December 4

Today Lamborghini is associated with supercars, but in the history of the Italian brand was other vehicle. Originally Ferruccio Lamborghini is doing all tractors (Lamborghini Trattori produces them today), and the business of producing sports cars was allegedly founded as a result of a dispute with Enzo Ferrari. And you can still remember the legendary Lamborghini SUV LM002 from the 80's. Very soon the Italians are going to present the first modern crossover Urus. Now was declared the official date of presentation — 4th December.

Eponymous concept appeared in 2012, however, the company was in no hurry to release him. For a long time, Lamborghini has questioned the need for the creation of such models, and chose between the Urus and the Estoque sedan (concept 2008). In the end, the Italians (but rather, even the Germans, given the identity of a premium brand) looked at the success of expensive crossovers from premium brands and came to the only right decision.

Lamborghini promised to give a new "exceptional high power and traction." The exterior will match the predatory disposition Urus: production model will be virtually no different from the concept five years ago, which still makes an indelible impression.

Also, the manufacturer draws Parallels to the Lamborghini LM002. He recalled that initially the project was created as a vehicle for the army, but eventually became the "father of premium crossovers". The body of the LM002 were made of aluminium and fiberglass, and inside hid a V12 from the Countach. The power of this monster was 450 horsepower and a maximum speed of 200 km/h the car did not pass and on the roads, where he was helped by three locking differential, transfer case, and special tires Pirelli Scorpion.

In Lamborghini Urus will be used some other technique. The novelty will receive a 4-litre bi-turbo "eight", issuing about 650 "horses" (we will remind that today Lambo produces only atmospheric engines). It is likely that "Urus" can become the new champion of the Nurburgring. In 2019 there will be hybrid version.

The initial price of the Urus will be about 200 000 dollars. The manufacturer intends to produce about 3 500 cars a year, which is about half of total production Lamborghini (in 2016 was built 3 457 cars).
