On the opened in new Delhi Auto Expo exhibition 2018 announced concept Kia SP. According to the project developers, it needs to strengthen the position of Korean companies in the Indian market.

Kia SP — a prototype an inexpensive compact crossover. This is supposed to be the equivalent Hyundai Creta in the model range Kia. The car will be manufactured at the new plant, which will cost the Korean Marche to $1.1 billion.

To create image Kia SP has a hand in the chief-designer of Kia Peter Schreyer (Peter Schreyer). According to him, the design of the production model is slightly simplified, but the overall style will be saved.

While there is no information about the technical stuffing Kia SP. Assuming that the car really will be the closest relative of the Hyundai Creta, we can expect to sell versions with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and two diesel: a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters. Their power is 89 and 126 horsepower.

Since Kia SP adapts to the Indian market, it is likely that the car will be local exclusive. At the same time it should be noted that at the moment Hyundai Creta is the most popular crossover in Russia (this is evidenced by recent January statistics), and Kia does not offer anything in this segment. It is possible that over time the car will be manufactured in our country.
