The Consumer Electronics Show in 2018 that is taking place these days in Las Vegas, continues to make interesting new products. We already talked about Hyundai Nexo and Kia Niro EV, now it's time for another Asian crossover, but from China. Byton startup unveiled its first concept.

From a visual point of view, novelty can be called an SUV in a futuristic style. However, the representatives of Byton prefer to call their offspring are not SUVs, and SIV — Smart Intuitive Vehicle, "intelligent and intuitive car".

The concept is made in the spirit of the time: the smooth lines of the body combined with the thin led headlamps and lanterns, and in front stretched the entire width of the car. Sides have missing door handles and external mirrors: the role of the latter perform a rear view camera integrated in the front wings.

In the interior of the SUV there is extensive use of leather. On the front panel is fitted with a huge 49-inch screen with a resolution of 3840 x 720 pixels. Manage the on-Board computer can be using touch interfaces, gestures and voice commands. A small display is even built into the wheel.

Byton is planning to sell two versions of its electric crossover. Power more affordable rear-wheel drive modification will be 271 horsepower, while a vehicle with all-wheel drive will boast a margin of 475 HP. Will be different and the reserve: 400 and 520 kilometers respectively. When using a proprietary charging stations can fill up a reserve of energy for 240 kilometers in just 20 minutes.

This impressive Chinese novelties do not end there. On Board the concept provides countless sensors through which the machine can do without a driver. Already at the start of sales Byton will get a autopilot of the third level, and in 2020 it is to upgrade to the fourth.

the Chinese startup is already registered offices in California, Munich, Hong Kong, Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai. The sale is scheduled to begin in 2019. Starting price tag — $ 45,000.
