KIA KX Cross – almost a crossover

At the exhibition in the Chinese city of Chengdu, introduced the KX model Kia Cross

A year ago, the company Kia has presented the concept of K2 Cross – a hint at a future model. Today at the motor show in Chengdu, was presented the Kia KX Cross. The car is a hatchback Rio, which has increased ground clearance, installed additional plastic bumpers and bodykit. By the way, conventional hatchbacks Kia Rio in the Chinese market, there is only the sedans under the name of Kia K2.

KX Cross will get two petrol engines: a 1.4 l rated at 100 HP and 1.6 l (123 HP). However initially will be available only the 1.4-litre version. Motors aggregated with 6-speed manual gearbox or automatic gearbox. Cross-version of the Kia is only offered with front wheel drive.

Dimensions the Kia KX Cross: 4240х1750х1505 mm, wheelbase 2600 mm. Other data, including the amount of Luggage, the Kia company is not provided.

But we know what will spoil the off-road version of the model Kia K2: ABS, EBD, ESC, climate control, Keyless entry, six airbags, a rear view camera system Parking assist, 16-inch wheels, a 7-inch touch screen multimedia and led daytime running lights.

The cross-hatch on the base Kia Rio is a new generation preparing for Russia – he was recently spotted on test, though in camouflage. On the Russian version of the Rio Cross prices not yet named, but they are known for the KX Cross – 74 900 yuan for the base model with the manual transmission. It is also unknown when the cross-version of Kia will appear on the Russian market.
