Kia Ceed Sportswagon will come to Russia the end of the year

Universal renewed in the image of the hatch

Debuted recently Kia Ceed was originally introduced in only one body style — five-door hatchback. The three-door is now a thing of the past, but the "wagon" was shown at the motor show of Geneva. And it's not just "car" and "sport wagon" — Sportswagon.

Technically universal has been changed to no hatch. Kia Ceed formally moved to a more recent platform K2, although fundamental changes in it. The manufacturer will retain the same wheelbase (2,650 mm), reduced the front overhang by 20mm and increased the rear to 115 mm. In total length body Ceed Sportswagon has increased by 95 mm, to 4 600 mm.

This has allowed some to increase the Luggage compartment: in comparison with the predecessor, its volume has increased 14 %, reaching 600 liters. Simultaneously, engineers and designers jointly lowered the loading height, so heavy stuff will be shipped in the hold of a new piatigorski.

In Europe, which will be the main market for the Kia Ceed Sportswagon, the novelty will be offered with petrol engines of 1.0 T-GDI (120 HP) and 1.4 T-GDI (140 HP). Also buyer can choose the 1.6-litre diesel CRDi engine family in two versions: with a capacity of 115 or 136 horsepower. Options of two transmissions: six-speed manual and semiskorostnoy robotic. Specially for Russia will be saved, the 1.4-liter "aspirated" outstanding 100 horsepower. Also, we will ship the wagon with the turbo engine of similar displacement.

Ceed Sportswagon will be available in Russia in the third quarter. Prices are not yet disclosed.
