New video filmed on the mountain pikes Peak
Ken Block (Ken Block) has become famous all over the world breathtaking videos from the Gymkhana. In them, he maketh their rally Fords such somersaults that triple toe loop seem death by boredom. Now the driver decided to try to try a new sport — mountain climbing pikes Peak in Colorado. The video was called Climbkhana (from the English. hillclimb, "uphill").
For extreme check-in was chosen a very unusual car. It is a highly modified Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2, built specifically for Ken Block. Initially, this coupe was released in 1965, but little remains: the factory spare parts can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
But the Mustang got a new V8 volume of 6.7 liters. With the revision of the motor to the experts Roush Yates who have been able to squeeze out of it 1 400 horsepower! This monster is powered by methanol. To send an avalanche of power to the wheels, the car is equipped with all-wheel drive and special tires Toyo Proxes R888R.
The length of the climbing the mountain pikes Peak is 20.15 kilometers, while the rider is required to pass 156 (!) turns. Of course, Ken Block is not broken the speed record, but passed a line as a spectacle.
