Karma Revero – a new life

In California began serial production of hybrid sedans brand Karma

Chinese concern Wanxiang Group, one of the largest automotive parts manufacturers in China, bought in February 2014, the assets of the bankrupt by the time the company Fisker Automotive, has managed to begin small-scale production created by Henrik Fisker in 2011, car Karma Revero, and not in Finland, where they were collected previously as the Fisker Karma, and... the USA! 

A small (yet, at least) Assembly plant was organized in the town of Moreno valley (riverside County in southern California), and the Chinese have invested not only in the organization of the Assembly (the planned volume of production at the initial stage 3000 cars a year), but the machine sample 2011 slightly modernized – a new, modern media system (of course, with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), improved charger and a higher capacity traction battery (21,4 kWh against 20.1 kWh).

In terms of styling, and the interior has decided not to change anything – agree, this looks like a serial hybrid is still awesome! Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbo with 260 HP GM of production employed only for recharging the traction battery, and the drive rear wheels via a single-stage reducer, two traction electric motor with a capacity of 160 kW. It is curious that the car of a local American Assembly was more than the Finnish – Karma Revero asking for at least $130 000, and the Fisker Karma at the time was estimated at less than a hundred thousand "evergreen".
