Anibal Icon release, 50 copies
The canadian company Anibal Automotive for many years engaged in tuning of Porsche cars. Now she has decided to release its own car. The firstborn will receive a carbon fiber body and a 3.8 litre flat six from the Porsche 911 Turbo S, whose power will be increased up to 920 horsepower. The novelty will be called Anibal Icon.
The supercar will receive a distinctive appearance. Partially open front wheels (they can look between the bonnet and front wings) evoke an Association with racing cars. At the same time, Anibal Icon tries to imitate a luxury sports car, on which clearly suggests the overall style of the body and particularly the doors "gull wings".
But behind the easily recognized of the Porsche 911. It is strange that with such a large-scale transformation of the body canadian masters decided to leave the stern is almost intact. The car is endowed with active aerodynamic elements: flap-front air intakes and rear wing changed the angle of attack depending on the traffic situation.
If we talk about the technical side of the issue, the closeness of kinship with the Porsche 911 is not yet known. It's possible that "Icon" is made directly on the basis of the German coupe. Mind only one detail: the novelty is claimed as mid-engined car, while the 911 the engine is in the rear overhang.
With 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) four-wheel drive Anibal Icon is accelerated for only a 2.4 second (at least, so says the manufacturer). From 911 the new product got polnopravnym chassis, active dampers and carbon-ceramic brake discs. Weight canadian supercar is 1. 542 kg.
Anibal Automotive plans to build only 50 copies of their debut model. Later will be released 5 machines in version of Drastic edition, which will be even more extreme form. Price yet to be announced.
