The new crossover will try to conquer the Chinese market

In January this year a seven-seat crossover Jeep Grand Commander. Now the legendary American brand introduced the Jeep Commander, which will be available with five passenger seats.

Connoisseurs of Jeep vehicles know very well what model of Cherokee and Grand Cherokee have virtually nothing in common. The situation with the Commander and the Grand Commander is completely different: technically and visually the two versions are virtually identical if not to take into account the different capacity.

It is noteworthy that even the dimensions of the body remained the same: length — 4873 mm, width is 1892 mm, height — mm. 1738 Jeep Commander will use the same two-liter turbo engine, developing depending on version 234 or 265 horsepower. The engine will be equipped with a nine-automatic transmission. Less powerful version will be front-wheel drive, and more powerful get the clutch connection of the rear axle.

As Grand version, the new Jeep Commander will be produced and sold only in China. His issue will deal with a joint venture GAC-FCA. The base price is set at 259 800 yuan, which is about 2 415 000 rubles at the current exchange rate.
