Jaguar XE SV Project 8 – the most powerful "jagga"

Officially introduced Jaguar XE SV Project 8

The separation of Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) demonstrated a 600-horsepower sedan Jaguar XE SV Project 8. No camouflage and no secrets. We have previously written about the most powerful sedan, but there was no exact technical data. To preserve exclusivity in the SVO technical centre will be collected only 300 copies.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has a 5-liter supercharged V8 engine with a capacity of 600 HP and an active exhaust system Active Exhaust Titanium Variable. Four-wheel drive vehicle with a set of aerodynamic skirts accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaches a maximum of 322 km/h. This makes the Project the fastest 8 production sedan in Jaguar history.

Jaguar XE Project 8 SV equipped with the following set of modifications: carbon fiber bumper with improved cooling ducts, and vented hood, also of CFRP, 20-inch forged wheels made of aluminum alloy, adjustable front splitter, flat underbody, carbon fiber rear bumper with diffuser and adjustable angle of attack rear wing. By the way, Project 8, additionally with a lightweight sedan with a V8 engine in the model range Jaguar.

For driving on normal roads and not only on the track, Jaguar XE Project 8 SV equipped with adjustable attenuators are Continuously Variable Dampers with adjustable height in the range of 15 mm Front suspension quick "jagga" double wishbone, rear – multi.

On Project 8 debuts brand brake Carbon Ceramic Braking system with ceramic discs. In addition, for the first time in the history of automobile industry on the serial sedan installed ceramic wheel bearings on the basis of silicon nitride. Before such technology was found only in the Formula 1.  

For improved handling, the Jaguar XE Project 8 SV equipped with a rear active differential (EAD) with its own oil cooler. In Project 8 there is a mode Track Mode, which puts the work of the powertrain, chassis and system stabilization mode maximum output, focused on the fastest lap.

The interior of the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 trimmed in Alcantara and carbon fiber inserts. The choice will be available two versions of the car – four, with the front seats Performance with a frame made of magnesium alloy or double with light carbon seats and four-point seatbelts.
