Italdesign – Giugiaro is now without

The famous Studio, which left father and son Giugiaro, began construction of exclusive supercars

At the Geneva motor show world famous Studio Italdesign, founded in 1968, shows the first new supercar brand Automobili Speciali Italdesign, created, apparently, on the basis of aggregate Lamborghini. The fact that after leaving the company's Outlook in 2015 founder Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio, is also well-known automotive designer, who owned before the departure 10% of the shares, the Volkswagen group once again to be "orphaned" company, attention of General public, and for this purpose it was decided to create ultra-low volume sports car. Because those 10% eventually purchased by Audi AG, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, and 90% since 2010 owns Lamborghini S. p.A. (100% owned by Audi), it is unlikely when you create a new supercar appealed for help, for example, in a Ferrari, although officially about the aggregate basis of the first model Italdesign Automobili Speciali – not a word.

 

So what do we know at the moment about the nameless (yet) new Italian supercar brand? V10 engine with volume of 5.2 l is located longitudinally ahead of the rear wheels, a body type monocoque made of composite materials, dimensions 4847х1970х1204 mm. Maximum speed – in excess of 330 km/h, acceleration to 100 km/h takes 3.2 s. Another known issue – only until the end of 2017 for its manufacture Italdesign in Moncalieri near Turin will be built five (!) car. 

All other details, including power plant, transmission type, price (not less than one million euros, IMHO) and the actual name of this "monster" will be known at the time of the premiere in Geneva.
