For the European market the Koreans have made a more refined version of the Hyundai Creta

Koreans today announced the name of the brand new models – Hyundai Kona. The model will be the fourth in the ranks of the "SUV" of the South Korean brand for the European market.

The car will have a progressive style, reflecting modern aspirations of the current consumers. Kona should be one more step for Hyundai to become a leading Asian manufacturer in the European market by 2021. For this purpose it is planned to launch 30 new models and various financial instruments.

By the way, Hyundai's since the release in 2001, Santa Fe, sold more than 1.4 million vehicles in the SUV segment. New model Hyundai Kona will become a full-fledged representative of the segment subcompact "SUV".

The name Kona Hyundai continues the tradition of criticism of the geographic names to their SUVs. Specifically, the word Kona means the name of the district in the Hawaiian Islands.

Kona Hyundai needs to make up for the lack of a model of Creta in the European market, which in Russia quickly became a bestseller in the crossover segment, but for a spoiled European too simple in design and decoration.

It can be assumed that the car will be equipped with the latest petrol turbo engine from Hyundai with a volume of 1.0 l and 1.4 l and probably a diesel engine of 1.6 L.

More detailed data about the car yet. Only go the rumors that the world will see Hyundai model Kona in June, and the start of sales may be given in the fall of 2017. But it's all speculation. Hope for the emergence of Kona in Russia makes no sense because our market is already Creta. However, dynamic and constantly changing, the domestic market may make adjustments to the plans of the Koreans, and then, perhaps, we have a more expensive analog "Cretu".
