Korean hybrid has become even more economical
Typically, the legendary American tuning exhibition SEMA car manufacturers prepare the appropriate exhibits — a powerful, fast and, of course, hungry. Hyundai decided to act in the opposite direction. They took a hybrid Ioniq and tried to make it even more economical.
In this work, the Koreans were helped by the specialists from canadian company Bisimoto Engineering. They tried to squeeze everything possible out of each unit. This has improved the aerodynamics of the body, reduced friction losses and made other mechanical upgrades. For example, Ioniq was fitted to the exhaust system Bisimoto kit Racepack electronics OBD, aluminum brake calipers, NGK plugs, ARP wheel studs and Recaro seats. Has also been enhanced generator. Thus was born the concept HyperEconiq Hyundai Ioniq.
In addition to this the car you notice the 19-inch carbon fiber wheels that reduce the unsprung masses. Also the wheels are equipped with traditional for such projects are tires with reduced rolling resistance. Has become a little easier to work the motor in it, supposedly filled custom special synthetic oil reduces friction.
In addition, specialists Bisimoto Engineering has reduced the clearance Ioniq: hybrid hatch has received a lowered suspension. The number of external elements, aimed at reducing aerodynamic drag and is difficult to calculate. All these measures should be a good idea to work as HyperEconiq Ioniq consumes "less well" 3 l/100 km.
While published only one photo cost effective concept. To see the new product from other angles will be at the SEMA show, which will be held later this month in Las Vegas.
