The American company wants to overtake the Bugatti Chiron
Mr. Hennessey has announced plans to build a new hypercar, calling it the Hennessey Venom F5. The name of this car after the wind tornado class F5, the speed of which can reach from 420 to 511 km/h – a clear allusion to the future the maximum speed of the vehicle. At the moment there is no accurate data on the Venom F5, except that it will be built from scratch, using a unique chassis. By the way, the coupe Hennessey Venom GT is based on a deeply modified platform from Lotus.
According to company founder John Hennessey, the car will get a more powerful engine, better aerodynamics and a lightweight chassis compared to the Venom GT. The development of the new hypercar will be engaged in the newly established company Hennessey Special Vehicles that will work in the same shop, and the Studio Hennessey Performance Engineering.
Hennessy Venom GT
No other details about the Venom F5 is no more, but the company says that their primary goal is to overtake the Bugatti Chiron, the maximum speed which is 463 km/h. it has a 8.0-liter W16 engine with a capacity of 1479 HP and 1600 MICRONS (!) Nm. While the Chiron weighs 1800 kg and has four-wheel drive transmission for the best realization of engine power. Given that the Venom F5 want to make lighter and equipped with more powerful engine, then theoretically Hennessy Venom F5 will be able to set a new world speed record for production cars.
Recall that the current model of the Hennessey Venom GT is equipped with a 7.0-liter V8 engine with dual turbo 1244 HP and MICRON 1566 nm. For Venom F5 want to prepare the engine capacity of 1500 HP to try to push it up to 482 km/h to Debut the new us hypercar needs this year.
