Honda today presented the new, 5th generation of its hot hatchback – Civic Type R. as usual tenth-generation Civic, new Type R was developed with a clean slate. A rare event – the predecessor of a new "Erki" (type FK2) was released just two (!) year, in 2015 and 2016.

The heart of the car was a modified 2.0-liter gasoline engine with turbocharging, which develops power of 320 HP and maximum torque of 400 nm. to Pass a whole herd of horses along with a huge rod will be a 6-speed "mechanics".

The body of the car has become even tougher, partly due to the use of glue as an additional reinforcing means for the most stressed joints of the body panels. Body rigidity in torsion compared with the previous Type R, increased by 38%.

The geometry and configuration of the front suspension McPherson revised to improve drivability. Rear – new multi-link suspension with increased rigidity.

At the Civic Type R of new generation a choice of three driving modes, which allow you to more accurately tune the car depending on the needs at a particular moment. So, for the usual city shopping trip, you can choose the mode "Comfort". If you need to ride with the wind – a "Sport" mode. And the most extreme, when not to buy – "+R". Switching between modes alters the damper settings, the force on the steering wheel and the responsiveness of the engine to the accelerator pedal.

To optimize the aerodynamics, the set of all possible elements that can improve the behavior of the Type R on the road. Here, a flat bottom, and curtain front air duct, lightweight rear wing, as well as "viagragenerico" on the rear edge of the roof.

Full production Civic Type R will begin tentatively in the summer of 2017 at the Honda plant in the UK. Hopefully, soon after on the world market a new Type R will appear in Russia.
