Ford Mustang 2018 updated for Europe

The American group unveiled the European model of the iconic sports car

Today at the Frankfurt motor show will debut a restyled version of the iconic American sports car Ford Mustang sixth generation. After the upgrade, the updated Mustang has a new front lighting with led running lights, new front and rear bumpers, and the hood became more prominent. The model became very popular in Europe – until now already sold about 30,000 of the Mustangs.

From the point of view of technology the main innovation is completely new 10-speed automatic transmission, relying most powerful in the range 450-horsepower V8 volume of 5.0 liters as standard and basic version for Europe with 4-cylinder turbo engine capacity of 2.3 liter capacity of 290 HP agregation with the new "automatic" as an option. The new transmission provides smooth power transfer and torque.

The list of equipment updated the Mustangs entered the MagneRide adaptive dampers, allowing the suspension to react instantly to changing road conditions, and two new modes of operation of the transmission – Drag Strip Mode to achieve the most effective acceleration (with the V8 engine in this mode, acceleration to 96 km/h takes less than 4 s) and "personal" My Mode that allows you to configure the reaction gas depending on the driver preferences.

Mode Good Neighbour Mode (good neighbor) optimizes the too loud sound of the exhaust system. Among the new "assistants" "Mustang" – the assistant to control the danger of collision with pedestrians, adaptive cruise control and control system for lane. 

In addition, the optional 12-inch digital instrument panel and a media system of the new generation Ford SYNC 3 with 8-inch touchscreen display and voice control, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

Sales of the updated Ford Mustang on the European market will start in January 2018.
