According to experts, government spending will increase
2-3 times
According to the analytical Agency "AUTOSTAT", in October 2017, the sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia increased by 17.3 %, the growth since the beginning of the year was 11.3 %. Not the last role in the gradual recovery of the market was played by the state: according to statistics, every second car sold in the country with the involvement of state support. Fearing the end of the campaign, the dealers asked the government not to stop investing in this industry.
Association "Russian automobile dealers" (ROAD) appealed to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with a request to extend the program of state support of the automobile industry in 2018.
In the letter the Association stated that government measures had a significant impact
the restoration of sales of cars in Russia, becoming in 2017 one of the key drivers of market growth.
The President ROAD Oleg Moseev noted that to consolidate growth trends in the automotive market it is necessary to extend the state of the industry. Dealers are offering not only to maintain the level of investment, but to increase the amount of funds allocated for socially important address car loan program "First car" (includes a discount when buying a first car) and the "Family car" (for families with two or more children), preferential leasing
"His work" (for small and medium enterprises), "Russian farmer" (for farmers)
and with the "Russian tractor" (off the tractor). According to moseeva, it is also necessary to maintain preferential loans, which applies to all categories of consumers.
While Moseev believes that targeted programs need to increase subsidies at least three times, from 3.75 billion rubles in 2017 to 10 billion. "These programs are relevant to the current market situation and will contribute to the development of the car industry, thereby supporting more than 700 thousand people employed in it," says the President of the ROAD. At the same time Oleg Moseev also asked to double the volume of preferential car loan (in 2017, it was allocated 10 billion rubles).
"In the event of cancellation or substantial reduction of programs of state stimulation of demand in 2018 there is a high probability not only of the termination of the current growth, but decline in sales," the letter reads ROAD. According to the calculations of the Director "Avilon Ford" Michael Zhmakova, the abolition of state support of the automotive industry can lead to a loss of 10 %.
The government has not yet established measures of support in 2018.
