Soon the big American crossover will get to Russia

The crossover Chevrolet Traverse received the approval of type vehicle (cu Tr), which suggests that the new model is ready to enter the Russian market.

The first generation of the crossover Chevrolet Traverse appeared in 2008. This model initially focused exclusively on the North American market, and is made only in the USA. The new model was announced a year ago at the International auto show in Detroit. By that time, the brand Chevrolet has long been actually left the Russian market: there are only the Camaro and Corvette sports cars and SUV Tahoe with unit sales (Niva does not count). So the news that can Traverse to get to Russia, was seen very skeptical.

In the cu Tr published on the website of Rosstandart, Chevrolet Traverse certified only with one engine — a 3.5-liter atmospheric V6 3,6 liter. Capacity was reduced in favor of reduced taxation: the document refers to 318 horsepower. Also mentioned is the sole powertrain option — a nine-automatic transmission. The drive can only be complete.

Our country will be supplied by two Chevrolet Traverse LT and Premier. It is expected that they will differ by the number of seats in the cabin: seven or eight. Regardless of the execution of large crossover gets front, side and roof airbags, the system of ERA-GLONASS, climate control, entertainment system with satellite navigation, a system of blind spot monitoring, cruise control and sunroof.
