Audi at the motor show in Frankfurt presented the "charged" universal RS4 Avant

Audi Sport GmbH is celebrating the world premiere of universal Audi RS4 Avant at the Frankfurt motor show. The car combines wagon practicality, and performance supercars.

When creating the fourth generation Audi RS4 Avant designers were inspired by the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO. Massive air intakes with honeycomb structure and the family grille Singleframe – defining moments of the front of the wagon RS4. The car has matrix led headlights with blue-tinted frames. Compared to the standard wagon the Audi A4 wheel arch RS-Ki extended to 30 mm.

The rear RS4 Avant a massive diffuser, oval tailpipes, and the top is decorated with a spoiler lip RS. The car is presented in the color Nogaro Blue, which is available as an option from Audi exclusive. "Loaded wagon" is equipped with 19-domowymi wheels, for extra charge you can install 20-inch wheels.

Under the hood of the Audi RS4 Avant is mounted 2.9-litre V6 TFSI with a turbocharged 450 HP and a torque 600 N ⋅ m, which is 170 nm more than the predecessor. The wagon accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The maximum speed of the RS4 Avant is limited to 250 km/h. New generation high-performance Avant weighs 1790 kg, 80 kg lighter than the previous version.

2.9-litre engine works with 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive. The Audi RS4 Avant has installed the rear sport differential that distributes torque between the wheels depending on the driving conditions.

The standard RS sport suspension from Avant lowered by 7 mm compared with the A4 Avant. The optional RS suspension with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), ceramic brakes and retuned steering. The driver will have the possibility of individual settings of the chassis.
