New the brand will replace the Gumpert
Europe is rich with companies producing low volume sports cars. These include and Gumpert, which in 2004 was founded by former Audi Sport Director Roland Gumpert (Roland Gumpert). The most famous model of the brand was a coupe Gumpert Apollo, which set a record lap in the show Top Gear. But financial success never came to the brainchild of Gumpert, and in 2016 after a series of bankruptcies, the company was sold to Hong Kong investment holding Ideal Team Venture. He renamed the brand in the Apollo and has now unveiled the first model Intensa Emozione.
Despite the fact that Apollo is a German company, and its headquarters are located in Germany, the new supercar has got an Italian name. Translated Intensa Emozione means "intense emotion", and the developers this should apply to every aspect of the coupe, whether the appearance, interior, or driving habits.
The basis of Apollo Intensa Emozione lies a monocoque carbon fiber of the same material made body panels. The doors open upward in the manner of a Gumpert Apollo. Perhaps this is the only similarity with the previous models. Streamlined body with active aerodynamics designed in the spirit of sports prototype LMP2.
If Roland Gumpert used cars boosted Audi turbo engine (which, given his previous employment is to be expected), then try Emozione was selected atmospheric V12 of 6.3 liters volume production Ferrari. Its impact has been increased
to 780 horsepower and 760 nm Peak of the rpm — 9 000 per minute. Also on the coupe is mounted 6-speed sequential Hewland transmission.
A car weighing 1 250 kg is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. "Maximum speed" —
335 km/h. Apollo Intensa Emozione able to develop a lateral acceleration to 2 g.
Despite the fact that formally Intensa Emozione will be the debut model of a reorganized brand, dumping the manufacturer clearly did not intend. The base cost of the supercar will
2.3 million euros. Will be released only ten copies. In 2019, Apollo plans to start selling models Arrow with a more affordable price tag.
