The company Alpina showed the new flagship of the B7 Bi-Turbo in England
At the Geneva motor show in 2016, the automotive market saw a new generation Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo. Then the company Alpina stated that the B7 Bi-Turbo 2017 will be able to accelerate up to 311 km/h and the sprint to 96 km/h run in 3.6 seconds – impressive performance for a sedan.
However, recently the company Alpina has presented its new flagship in the British office and it turned out that now Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo can accelerate to 330 km/h (!).
To achieve such characteristics, the Alpina team received full access to the BMW technical documentation of agreements and relationships that began in 1964. It was then that the German company has approved the quality of Alpina and provided full factory warranty for cars BMW, equipped with new carburetors from Alpina.
Under the hood of the Alpina B7 4.4-liter V8 engine with an output of 607 HP and 800 ΜM N∙m with a redesigned system of pressurization with a pressure of 1.2 bar. In addition, the engine in the B7 Bi-Turbo, unlike the BMW 7-series with different pistons and spark plugs.
The engine in the Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo is paired with 8-speed automatic gearbox from ZF. Automatic box company Alpina also reworked by installing additional cooling and reinforced gears.
Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo new generation is a redesigned BMW 7-series. The car has modifications with all-wheel drive xDrive, as well as a longer wheelbase. On the British market B7 Bi-Turbo will be sold only with rear wheel drive and extended wheelbase.
